Junsi iCharger 406 DUO and 308 DUO problem - both burned up

I would like to share my experience with Junsi iCharger 308 DUO and 406 DUO. There are nice chargers with very useful color LCD and a lot of charge functions but with only one problem: they both completely burned with unexpected reason.

I lost my first Junsi iCharger 308 DUO bought from HobbyKing after 5 months of operation. It was normal Li-Ion 5S 30Ah charge using 24VDC 300Ah battery source. After 1 hour of charging white smoke appeared, PCB board has heated up, DC fan and case plastic were melted. I just forgot about this unpleasant intsindent and never asked for warranty replace.

Second Junsi iCharger 406 DUO i bought from ProgressiveRC burned up just after power on with no battery or even balance/charge plugs attached. DC power source was telecom 27.2V 75A power supply. It was so surprisingly and i decided to understand what's going on. I disassembled iCharger 406 and found two "M1-2" and "M2-2" TO-220 IRF3205Z n-Fets and one 4R7 gate resistor burned out. nFets were shorted, it was impossible to power-on the charger. Unfortunally shorted fets damaged Junsi's proprietary fet's 16-pin driver (short trace between pins found), no chance to fix it without manufacturer parts and i finished my research. Finally Channel 2 of this charger fully works, Channel 1 "Discharge" and "Balance" modes are working. Channel 1 "Charge" mode is not working because of damaged driver i guess (no current flow to battery).

406DUO details: fw 2.15, S/N 1408088048

I would like to make it public discussion with manufacturer (Junsi). I'm completely sure it is hardware/software issue, my expectation is not just simple repair but "bug fixed" in software or hardware release history. I hope this can help other people to avoid $$$ impact for their RC budget but i would like to avoid any conclusions before this story ends.

406 duo burnt up x 2

Just so you will know, I purchased a 406duo in Nov '14, and before it could be used but a handful of times, it burnt up. Sent it back, they sent my another one, used it once, and the next time I powered it on, it shut down my power supply(could hear a ticking noise), tried another power supply and it shut it down also.
Very frustrated.
