Looks nice! Toss it off the Eiffel Tower!

At that weight it may work better at the coast with a nice slope.

Look at the Mountain Models website for instructions on their DL-50. They used waterbased polycrylic paint and light fiberglass cloth for their wings.

Someone has mentioned building a wing out of wire cut foam, a carbon spar, and a giant swath of tape rather than glass/epoxy as a skin. Is anybody interested in building one? Cores could probably be bought from FlyingFoam and the tape anywhere.

26" dlg

I built this with an old Blade MCX brick. Sanded $tree foam leading and trailing edge then one layer of fiberglass(18g/m2). Might add another layer if the wing flexes too much. 24" 3.2mm carbon tube for the fuse. AUW with 1S 110mA battery ~28g.

That should be plenty to flying it. But dont plan on making corrections on the first 1/3 of the way on the climb. You will strip the gears or destroy the little electric motors. Trust me on this.

Good advice...
I will also just do some easy throws. I will probably put regular servos and maybe add ailerons. This is going to be very light. Maybe I can find some thermals.

I rebuilt my 1M DLG wing. Adding another layer of $Tree foam to the top and cut out ailerons. Made a fuse from a dried plant stalk. Current weight w/o hardware 56g
