Question
ESC timing for a Turnigy 1230 inrunner 4500 kv

I built a profile prop in a slot Mig 15 with a Turnigy 1230 4500 kv.
I run on 2 S a 3 x 3 Gws prop and a 6A esc.
What timing is the best? Currently motor gets warm and I am on medium....

I don' want to burn this tiny motor

I am posting here because you often use this kind of inrunner...

Typically ESC manufacturers recommend low timing for low pole count motors, which inrunners would fall under (2 to 4 poles normally).

GWS 3X3 might be a bit too much load, I use 3X2 with my Feigao 1230 of similar Kv with the same ESC . Here are some data;

As shown here the current increase a lot even on a 3X2 with higher 5300 Kv version:

Following your avices, I did a test yesterday on the bench and with an electronic balance to mesure trust.
With the 3 x 2, same battery: lower consumption but higher trust! Around 20 grs more !
1 week to wait until our next indoor venue....

Isn't it beautiful when that happens?
