Thank you Charlie for the info, there was never a pic of the Orca with the bow out of water, and that pic you sent me helped out louds thanks.

A lot of people try to build a boat that they saw in a movie, like "Jenny", "Orca", "Minnow" and the like, which gets kind of old---.

For inspiration, and maybe a fresh change of subject material, they should go down to the docks---.

Yes Sir your right but for my inspiration is copy the vessel to it spec's with out plans, that is the challenge in life and the fun part of model making.

Remember Karl- it may be old for YOU... but for someone who hasn't built that subject before, it's all new and shiny!

I would FREAKIN' love to have an Orca all decked out like I've seen Pat Tritle and a couple others build.

Actualy the best start for an Orca is Greg Hiltz's 35'' fiber glass Cape Islander hull with a straight shear instead of a raised foredeck. With that you have the correct hull for the ORCA/WARLOCK.

Man, thats looking good.....I too, am building a "42 Orca myself.
For the record, the real "Orca" from the movie JAWS was in fact,
'42 ft. long - as why I am using "1 = '1 ft. scale.....seems to me you and
I are the only ones going "42 long......

Build it well

DAVID, the orca/warlock was 39 feet long not 42'. When they added the brace under the pulpit attached to the forestem, they may have counted that as the overall lenght but the Warlock as built was 39' This is according to the spec's in STEAMSHIP WORLD. We had this discussion in another thread.
