getting ready for the Oct. fleet gathering just got a little closer, molds were just successfully separated from the masters, they look very good, should just need a good scrubbing and it will be time for wax and PVA followed by resin and glass.. (might have a hull by the weekend) the masters also survived fairly well (much better than the brooklyn's, I think I learned a bit on that project)

half hulls joined, a little more trimming on the top edges done via belt sander(need some full sheets of sandpaper to make a some large blocks to get good final edges) put her on the scale and added water to the water line.. right around 9lbs of displacement. things ordered to build the running gear..

Excellent !!

The model in the background with the three stacks; What colour/color of brown/tan is that on the stacks and deck cabin? And by which manufacturer?

Thank You.

if I sell any that will be down the road a bit, have to make sure it all works out, this ship has some complications . outboard angled shafts, tight rudder area, lowered exposed central gun/boat deck.. plus reworking a set of plans (research on this one has been tough)

Are the A frames the same as on the Arizona ?
Are you planning on using those pitman motors in this build?
Looking great.

the shaft frames are like the brooklyn's but the shafts are not parrallel to each other, I have some 12volt pitt's that should give better than scale speed (22kts) fit well, good low speed power with direct drive so the drive train will nice and quiet..
