There are two airports in Gothenburg, Gothenburg Landvetter Airport and Gothenburg City Airport (Säve). The distance to Lidköping is almost the same. You can rent a car at both airports or travel by train from Gothenburg Central Station directly to Lidköping train station and then rent a car here. We can pick you up here if you want to and drive you to the car rental company.
Here is a map where all the hotels and camping areas are in Lidköping.

I hope you get it! Finally, somewhere not uncomfortably hot and not needing 3 days driving to get to from the UK. And with great facilities. I will be there.

i voted to "check my plans" first, since it's way too far in the calendar to promise now.
However, being the TM of Greece and pitting for 3 days side by side with the Von Elling family (all of it!) I'd love to FLY to Sweden for the RC Bike Worlds 2014.
(It's way too far to ride my bike, really!)
Speaking of future RC Bike Worlds, I will propose tomorrow at the TM meeting the new rule:
As of 2015, ALL RC Bike Worlds participants will have to ride their real (scale 1/1) motorcycles to the Worlds!!!!!
Otherwise they will be... disqualified for life!!!!!!!!!!

Hallo Steliosh. As for riding your bike to the Worlds. I live next to Sweden and have been to six worlds all on my Fireblade. So can't see why your BMW should not bring you the other way. Think it has been discussed at some time . Very few of us little bikers actually ride a 1/1 bike.

Well, I am not sure what to vote....
At the moment it is No! It is too far away 22 hours flying time, not counting transit.
If we move to Sweden in the meantime then it will be Absolutely! It will be great!
However, our goal is to be there December, maybe earlier so it may be a case of want but have to check my plans...
As for No! There is mosqitos in your country ... Is that really the worst you've got??? , mosqitos?

Hey Rob, Lars and Chance are thinking of maybe doing it and if they do I might consider going too. Well, as long as work stays consistent from now until then.
Maybe you should postpone your trip till May..
Btw, Erling,.. most of the little 1/5 bike drivers down here in Oz ride real bikes. Ive got a 2008 CBR600. If only i lived much closer id ride to the worlds aswell.

Hallo Sculfi. You are of cause excused for not coming here in Europa on your Honda. So might see you again in Sweden next year, as that race is just round the corner from me here in Danmark.
