uggghhh. Don't you hate it when the simple things turn into not such simple things. My new version of Real Flight showed up today and I tried to install it. Neither one of my DVD drives recognize the disk. Worse, I know its not the disc as I was trying to play a new "music" dvd to upload to Itunes, and the drive wouldn't play that either.

You can usually find cheap replacement parts for laptops on ebay.

+1. I recently replaced the screen on my laptop after a neighbor kid rendered it useless. I was able to find the part for just over half what Dell wanted for it.

shipping, crating planes

I think people have posted stuff about this, but I forgot where I saw it or who.
Got ideas on the crating of a 68-72'' Plane?
I was looking at using 3/4'' thick foam insulation board. Really tough stuff!
It is silver on one side. Plywood is heavy and the lighter weight makes it cheaper to ship. If you have ideas or pictures even. I would appreciate it.

You didn't mention it being a laptop, did you? If not, I have a stack of IDE CD/DVD players/burners. If it weren't just as cheap to go buy one than ship, you're welcome to one.

Do ya think they'll cart Arun off to study him up at Area 51....

Next time you're through K-town, let me know...yell loud out the window in West Knoxville..

Had something funny happen today with the GT33 on my 74.....I had not ran it in a while....and it was the first time on fresh programming, so my throttle low EPA was off....there I was, trying to get it running and setup....everyone who has one knows they start very easy but sometimes run in reverse....today it ran very well in reverse at all of the way up to half throttle or more...making very little power and thrust of course.....but normally I can add a blip of throttle and it will die, I'll flip it again and all is well......today when I gave it throttle it did not die..but when I cut the throttle, it burped and then ran forward on it's own.....self correcting....

The first time I've seen that in the 150 or more flights on that....

stopping and self correcting was not terribly uncommon in the slimey glow days. It is quite humorous when you see it in person.

If only you could do it both directions while in flight....you would have the only variable pitch gas system EVER!!!!

What's causes the OS motor to start backwards. It's the only brand of engine I hear that does it? Is it something to do with ignition?
