the fracing process has absolutely nothing to do with the video with the gas in the water faucet.
not to say it doesn't have anything do to with natural gas production (it might and might not). Just saying it doesn't have anything to do with the frac process.
another thing that people do not understand is that there is naturally occurring VERY VERY shallow pockets of gas. Earlier this year a rig was just beginning to drill a well and it blew out and burned to the ground at a depth of only 900 feet deep. NINE HUNDRED FEET and that gas had not made its way to the surface water.
Now, when you consider the marcellus shale that john fox(youtube fire lighting guy) is saying is contaminating his drinking water is 5000-8000 feet deep it is a little hard to believe that an explosive that you can hold in the palm of your hand is fracturing all the way to the surface water. What is even more ridiculous is to think that the fractures all simply stop at surface water depth and don't fracture all the way to the top of the ground. (can u say eternal flame?)
Where i am sitting right now I can look out and see 18 rigs currently drilling new holes and I cannot throw a stone without hitting a well that has already been drilled and we do not have issues with drinking water.
Just something to consider.
