I had not seen this before. What a beautiful plane.

Nice! I really like the slim lines. Looks very art-deco.

That extreme taper looks tip stall prone to me though. If I were to build this I'd build it really light to lower the stall speed way down.

Cool looking plane but the booms look so weak where they meet the Horizontal stab... Would like to see her fly though!

Agreed - and a bit of washout to help out with those stalls too.

Nah.. just use proper carbon fiber booms. I've seen much smaller booms on high end gliders.

After a lot of puzzling, measuring, and SWAGs - I'm going to give this a shot. The wing will be a KF wing, aprox 32", the tail booms will be 10" apart and 6.5" from the TE of the wing to the LE of the elevator. Power will be a pair of EMAX GF2215/20s (1200kv) with 8x6 props. Flight Test Vehicle 1 will have a profile canopy and nacells. I fully anticipate abject failure on the first attempt but have plenty of foam for FTV 2-x.

Beautiful plane with very interesting design. Too bad it wasn't built in reality. Just look at it: It's almost completely a merger of P-38 and DH Mosquito. Maybe also throw some Horten into the mix.

Hopefully some of you guys will build it. Would be very interesting to learn how it flies. And my skills aren't quite up to the task yet. Still have to build couple of simpler designs to improve my skills.

First cut if the wing. 34" wingspan - the will be a 1" radii on each wingtip. The KF step is 2 1/4" from the tip on the LE. There is a 2" sweep for each wing. The wing is 10:" deep.

I'm using MPF (model plane foam) - not as brittle as Depron, smoother than blue fan fold, and has no skin on it. Tested several glues with it. I liked the way low temp hot glue took, with epoxy a second. The KF sandwich was made with Elmer's spray adhesive.

Box of parts also arrived.

Spar, booms, and elevator installed. The booms are 14" from the spar to the TE of the elevator. The elevator was a PITA - those ArtDeco curves look great but hard to work with. Somewhat concerned that there may not be enough elevator deflection. We will see.

Going for a run, no more work today.

Are you going to cover the carbon booms according to the picture?

I'll profile cover the booms for now.

Thanks Lee! There is a LOT of F&L in this build so far.
