HA HA!! maybe so, but then I don't really "need" any more kits, being that I'm already sitting on a couple of hundred unbuilt kits including a couple en route right now, so I can wait for this one until the price is right.

Me trying to talk myself out of wanting this plane. "I said to myself, I said self:

1. You got the Bixler V2 in shipment, you just lost a new Bix V1 on first flight into the mangroves and all this after beating a BlitzRC SS V3 into packing material and this all started with a toy helicopter in march!

2. Unless this monster is very strong the wings will break off in the kind of maneuver's we do with a standard SS.

3. So what's it good for? FPV or carrying a camera around. OH WOW! theres a corn field and a barn and another corn field, just wait till the kids see this!

4. Then it's a glider, that feels for movement in the invisible air way high in the sky. While I stand there, my tx at my side cause 'God's gotter now' It's all way cool but I don't think my neck can take it.

5. "War, good God y'all, what is it good for, absolutely nothin"

6. I can't thow it in the trunk and go.

Conclusion: I don't need it.

DJ

PS: As to camera's on plane it don't get much better than this.

No Risk No Fun- crazy horst (7 min 49 sec)

Wow! Nice vid! That's far and away the nicest, most tasteful video BH has ever done.

Looks like maybe it was filmed off of Vista Del Mar just west of LAX?

Where's my credit card?

Good for you. You'll sleep better tonight secure in the knowledge that a SSS is on it's way to you.

I'm looking forward to your take on it. Who makes this thing? Do we know? No idea of the motor or prop size, how the big wing is reinforced and attached, room in the equipment bay, etc?

Your delivery should be quick since it only comes about 20 miles to you. Correct?

Not sure who actually manufactures this one and the Sky Surfer V1-V4/Bixler.

The specs are known, I posted them on the first post. Yeah, and BH is about 30 miles from LAX where I am.

Based on the video it would seem less versatile then the standard sized Skysurfer; much more of a glider. Not that that's a bad thing. It looks like it will make a great FPV platform.

I heard back from someone at BH. Here is what I received:

Q = Question A= Answer

Q: Do the wings come apart like the original Skysurfer?
A: Yes they do.

Q: How do they attach to the fuselage?
A: They have 2 locking pins located in the center of the fuselage.

Q: Does it have a wheel on the belly?
A: Yes it does.

Q: What prop is included with the kit?
A:

Q: What it the maximum size prop the air frame would allow for?
A: I will need to obtain this information still.

Q: Are the flight characteristics similar to the original Skysurfer?
A: I will need to check with the pilots that have had the chance to fly the unit.

Q: Can you post a video of it soon?
A: A video is currently in the works.

Q: Even a picture of someone holding it to give some perspective would be helpful. Also, pictures of the cockpit and usable space within the fuselage.
A: Additional photos will be available soon.

Thank you,
William
