The last time is was at C20 I count get IN as all the "foreign" students were BACK taxiing
et al and didnt even respond to radio pleas to clear the runway for MY T&G
So I just departed the area. With lots of grumbling of course !!!

It's great to be back in the Midwest. !

Getting My Band saw back together, and ...
getting my sander back together, and ...
finding the ply stock that I brought with me.

Not a problems tho plus I had to make more of my Ply horns
for an other order.

I'm actually getting my shop back in shape, Finally !

Packing tomorrow and shipping on Thursday due to remote PO location.

It's funny how we'll sit here and cut stacks of foam, but when it comes to cutting ply we HATE it with a passion!

Fortunately for me, I have a local laser cutter who does all my ply for me.

Better don't ask what we have to pay for a BMW...

I'm a bit afraid to crash with all that stuff too. But theres no other solution, since I have to take care of the CG and the electronics mustn't be to close to the ESC because otherwise there are to many influences

tripn4days Sry was away for a day, didnt see ur question on the packing tape. I've built three of these now 75%, 100% and 115% The paper delaminate's in flight and distorts with high humidity, removing it and putting on $tree packing tape is straight easy to work/rework. It's lighter and much stronger. It does take longer to build but sooo worth the time. And only add's $1.00 to the cost of the plane

Hmmmm.... Didnt anticipate the paper peeling aspect. Perhaps I shouldtape all exposed edges then, as my plane is now finished, minus the motor mount...

WHICH LEADS ME TO MY NEXT QUESTION:

I've got 2 motor options and having never done a pusher before or ever used these tiny pusher props, I'm a bit stumped about which motor I should go with. I will be running a 3s setup, but could do either an 850mAh 15C battery or a twice and big (and twice as heavy) 2200mAh 30C LiPo. My propeller options include 6x4 pusher style, but also "could" include a 9x5 cut down to 7" or a 10x4.7 SloFlyer cut down to a 6 or 7"

Ideas? Do's or Dont's? Suggestions?

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated

To be honest, if you have not yet purchased a motor, might I suggest the one tried and true setup we've been using on pusher jets for years?

It's the Suppo 2212-6 2200kv motor. Pair it with a 30A ESC and an APC 6X4E prop, and a 3S 1300 or higher lipo. This setup will make your jet scream, but make your wallet smile.

I also sell the props for it too. Now, just because I sell these doesn't mean I'm just trying to push my wares. Ask most of the guys on this forum, this is the best bang for the buck for pusher jets.

Well I actually DID order the Grayson Hobby v2 jet setup about 2 weeks ago. Problem is Basil seems to be a complete when it comes to:

A) making sure EVERYTHING IS IN THE BOX (this is my 2nd of 2 large orders with missing/wrong pieces)

B) Actually following up with order issues.

I never received the motor part of the combo nor did I get my dozen control horns.... He hasnt even acknowledged my issue. I got one email saying, your BO'd battery will ship shortly. Thanks Basil; what about the REST of my messed order?!

I'll probably just wind up call my CC company at this point. I like to give peopel 2nd and 3rd chances, but when you cant even acknowledge a customer's issue, it can be rather frustrating.

OPTION 2: EMP C2826 KV1350

Looks like the grayson hobby one will suffice if you can build it light and it can really put out 100W. Not sure about the recommended prop for that on a 3S though.

The EMP 2826 is very similar to what I am using on mine, which is the turnigy D2826-10 1400kv motor. It spins a 7x5 or 7x6 APC IC prop. I run 1300mah turnigy nanotechs in them, I believe it is 20 or 25C. The packs come down slightly warm. The ESC is a 30A ESC, it is marginal for the job.
