Mounting Sp400 motor
I have a sp400 motor that I am mounting to a gear box. Unfortunately, that uses up the mounting holes for the motor. I performed a search for motor mounts, but did not find very much information.
The plane is an ACE simple Me109. The original firewall was too far forward to fit the motor, so I drilled a hole in it where the motor will poke through (very snugly). Should I install some hardwood rails and tywrap the motor to it? Should I try to make a small slimer mount work? I am at a crossroads here. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you |
