Hummm... The servos are mounted opposite each other so one must be reversed. I haven't even looked at it that closely.

Guys, i just maidened mine today and it flew like a dream. Full FPV setup with OSD on board. I used a 5000mah 3S like i mentioned earlier which fit like a glove in the battery compartment. CG was spot on with no added weight. I will post information and pics later on. I also recorded the FPV video and I'll see if it turned out good enough to make it worth posting.

More later...

Flight Time

How long of a flight were you able to get, and what should be the flight time of this platform with fpv gear on board.

Battery

I have a couple 6000mAh 3 cell lipos from an old quad project, would that be to much for this plane?

My measurements on the stock prop came in close to Blaser's. This with a new, fully charged 3600 3s 20c. Power draw: 310 watts, 25.5 amps. Prop RPM 12360. Actual measured thrust: 1320g. Calculated data: pitch speed 74 mph, thrust 1331g.

APC 9x6 prop gave 418 watts, 34.7 amps. Way over the recommended max. An APC 8x6 gave similar performance to the stock prop. APC makes an 8x8 but I dont have one in the prop box. It might give an improvement over the stock and still remain with the spec's.

The stock prop is going to be very close to optimum for this power system and it's the one I'll use initially.

i burned through about 1500mah in 15 minutes. I wasn't flying efficiently by any means. The motor pulls ~20amps at full throttle with 3S and the stock prop. about 4amps are needed to maintain altitude. With a 5000mah pack, a 45min fpv flight should be easy. An hour if you do it Prius style.

WOW! and that is for a plane loaded down with all that extra electronic gear, so the clean plane by itself, one would probably pass out of boredom after a 70 minute flight or so.
