Lol! Given the weather outside I may put a sticker on it for now an really get into the feathering once I can be outside again.

Well, breaking bad started again. Did some major sanding while watching the series. Overall a very smooth finish. Not sure o have the feathering technique to the point to make this invisible. I probably can't match the absolute white, so there are limits.

I 100% agree with this approach. I made up patch of balsa and carbon to emulate the current wing skin on my Ninja Speed, and it has gone on to hit 231 mph with no issues:

Looks great!!......Sometimes wet sanding over the kitchen sink can you that last 5% of perfection.Sand the repaired area and past it as well will get rid of the feather edge line. Then paint the repaired area and a bit beyond it and the repair will blend in really well.
What you have done is good enough..

...aaand done... At least for now.

One of these days I'll be able to be a paintbrush master like many people in this forum. Not sure If I will be able to do a color match (ie match the exact white color off the mold). But its enough to look very good.

Special shoutout to shhhhhh! and helibee. You guys rock.

Now, to balance the wing, fly this puppy and avoid stumps on the ground.

Sorry to dig out an old thread guys. But im adter some advice regarding your repair v a fix that i have to do

A few weeks back the left hand side of my vtail folded. Breaking the spar about 1/3 way out from the boom.

I have since used some 3hr epoxy to glue the spar back together and the skin... But im not sure this will be strong enough?

Im willing to enter the realms of cutting the tail plane skin but obviously if i dont have to then i wont!

Shes not a super high performance model (thermik excel 3.3tm wing span) buti do want the repair to be sound and strong.

Again sorry to crash and bring up an old thread.
But you lot seem like you have done this sorta thing before!
