Mystery ESCs with BEC??

Hey guys,

Does anyone know if the Mystery ESCs that you find on eBay that are 100a and 200a are equipped with a BEC? ....I've got a couple of hulls coming in and I'm not sure if there's room for an extra battery pack.

Thanks in advance!

E

Most esc with bec (switching or linear)needs a UBEC or Rx battery when used with more than 3 Lipos, even with only one servo.

Hi Sync,

The high A Mystery ESC's that I know of, come without BEC, so a seperate UBEC seems in order.

hey sync

you could try the turnigy plush esc's, the turnigy marine, hobbywing or seaking's, pretty much all the same one's but the plush esc's come with BEC, no BEC and also a connector to monitor the cells

i use the 60a plush's in my mono and hydro (as the 120a will be going in the 29" mono)

All depends which version you get.

Mystery, HiModel, Suppo etc. They are all the same ESC badged under different names. You can get them all with or without BEC.
I'm afraid it's a bit of a misnomer about not being able to use the internal BEC over 3s.
It's an old fear left over from when the BEC circuit was a voltage 'regulator' & created a bit of heat converting higher voltages down to 5V.
These days most ESCs use a voltage 'switching' circuit which creates hardly any heat at all.
I only use the HiModel GX200A 4s-8s ESC with BEC & have never used an external power supply to the RX & have never had a problem on 4s or 6s

All the best.
Paul.

Yeah...i'm thinking about just purchasing another seaking 90a...or maybe a seaking 60a for my new hydro hull coming in. I've already got a program card that works with my current seaking 90a as well as my XERun and EZRun brushless ESCs. I love my programming card!

Paul or others, Where can I see the manufacturers's information / website on Mystery etc.?? I'm a newbie and all I see is ads for many different models.

I'd love to see ALL the products Mystery makes, THEN look for a good price.

IsTHere a listing of Manufacturer's Websites somewhere??

THANKS!

wow...this is an older thread....here's the programming instructions for the Mystery ESC

Mystery ESC Instructions

And a programming card is a small tool with an LED screen that allows you to program your ESC instead of having to use your TX to program your ESC. Looks like this...
