LightC Moving the brain and the four ESC and four motors would be very easy.
The difference in size will make the GAUI brain react differently but it should work just fine. I am purchasing the Aerospy option which is long legs and a camera mount. I think you will be OK with your idea. jesolins has a good guide to quads, here is his link. http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1097355 |

Thanks John. Is there an advantage of using the AeroSpy with the long legs versus the Q4 cam mount?
Also, does anyone know what changes were made in the S version of the 330x? That's the version that I'll be purchasing. Someone suggested I upgrade the ESC and motors but would that be recommended even for this new S version? My usage for the quad is primarily to take video footage with a HiDef camcorder (Canon HG20 or similar). Will the stock motors be able to handle the weight? Thanks again. Quote:

While waiting for my camera mount I rigged up this.
Foam glued to the top body of the GAUI Cheap camera that takes video set into foam base. Rubberbands to hold camera down in the foam base. I will take some vids on my next outing. Probably tomorrow morning. |

LightC
Why not check this area for camera info. These guys seem to know what is good and what is not. Post your question there about small HD cameras and I bet they know which work good and which do not. http://www.rcgroups.com/aerial-photography-128/ |

I haven't used one, but from what I've read online the whole series of flycam stuff is garbage. If you just want video footage just get a keychain camera from Ebay or hobbyking. |
