Hi Kim looks like Yokine reserve to me.. I think there are 2 clubs that fly from there. Its a designated flying field & you are covered by MAAA insurance if you are a member of a club & fly there. I used to fly gliders there way back in the 90`s lol

I noticed in the manual on the ailerons its calling for 15mm/30mm then 120% up and 100% down.

Is anyone running aileron differential on there bird?

Got to say its a fun looking little plane!!

UPDATE:

Maidened tonight, no differential was needed. Control throws in manual very mild, upped all surfaces throws. Very fun little bird!

I have mine back together and flown again this past weekend. 2 batteries and I was like "Homer to dougnuts" and had to put it down and fly my wing. This thing is an extreme blast on a 3S I could not even imagine putting the extra weight of a 4S in it...

I got one too but she still in the box.

Spring is coming here so I will put it together soon.

I think I will put these digital servos in it. http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...6kg_0_07s.html

They are not "metal gear servo". Regarding of your experience, what you guys thinking about that?

The specs state 9g micro servos on my PNP and the ARF states the same, neither state metal gear. The plane is not very fast, but it has grunt to the moon, with that in mind I would "assume" you're good.

The supplied servos on mine are very quiet and smooth, much better than HXT900s etc.
All of mine survived a hard smack into the ground so I guess they pretty durable too.
Not sure if they are available as spares but they may make a good alternative to the other cheap 9g servos on the market.

These are the budget Metal Gears servo's I recently purchased:

About the only negative would be weight.... they are a little heavier than 9G but the same size as HXT900's. Not a bad price.

Thanks all for your comments and suggestions.

So no need for "metal gears". I will go with the speed of the digital servo combine with the possibility of a DSMX RX to go to 11ms of delay with use of digital servos.

I own a couple of 3S-1300mah-20c.

20c... will be probably limit but OK.

What 3S batt. size are you flying with?

Using Rhino 1050mAh 3S 40C and work really well - also use the same in the FunFighter for 3S use
