Wish you could just buy the airplane. Don't need the Link thing.

So true, save around $20. Wonder if Flyzone would include the transmitter module as they had in the past on some of their new planes. That offer would be hard to refuse.

Bigger is good at times - True, but the size is one is one thing I am intreated in. I camp near water and don't always want to bring a lot of RC stuff due to limited space. This little guy should be a far flyer and not take up to much space in the back of the truck.

Oh, and it looks great. I saw in person a the WRAM show.

Tidewater

Got mine from tower on Friday. One nighter, Really nice looking and watertight. Two mods I made. I don't like trusting velcro stuck to battries as only holdown. I built a plywood platform and epoxied it into hull. Two. I do this on all my T tails. I take small dia. carbon fiber rods and glue them under stab. to fuse. @ 45 degree angle. This really stiffens the tail and you get better response in flight. IMO

bigrap, When you get the maiden flight in let us know your flying impressions. It has that Seamaster look and that is one of my favorite airframes to fly so I hope you have the same experience.

I received mine on Monday. As stated above not much to putting it together maybe an hour for me. Really nice looking model and it was nice not to have to fidel with any decals. Getting the tip floats seated all the way down took more force than I wanted to use but the wing handled it just fine.
I replaced the tatic Rx with spektrum for my 9303. Mainly because the TX adapter I purchased would not fit well on the JR , as in I could find no good place to mount it.
Also the prop is really strange as the last 1/8 inch or so at the tip is folded back at 90 degrees. It appears that this is for prop clearance but you would think they would have just raised the pylon a 1/4 inch or so. Anyway you won't be finding these in your hobby store I'll bet.
I did take it out on the lake last night and did some taxi testing. The rudder with the recommended throw has plenty of turn radius in the water. It comes up on step very easily at less than half throttle. Seemed stable on the high speed runs other than some nose bobbing from the small waves. I also used to fly the seamaster and I suspect this is going to be just as good. Will let you know when I get it airborne how it handles.
