Use the working motor as a test motor and test the non-working ports or
motor connectors. If the port checks out good the motor is bad. If one of
the port checks out bad the main board is fried.

Good Luck!

I just ordered an extra 3 nanotech 300 mah lipo's.
little smaller, but same capicity, just stick some velcro on to pad them out a bit.

PS, they are reverse polarity, ie,
you need to swap the wires over before you do anything with them...

ahh ok, you could test the output from the red plug, then going by what you find, add resistors and make up your own led system...

It didn't work,
FHSS and FHSS are not compatible aparantly...

unlike DSM, DSM2, accst and faast etc

I would like to use a different TX with this thing, I've worn the sticks out already :-(

Is the Ethos a good, sturdy quad for someone who can't seem to keep his other quad in flying condition?

It's tough (mainly because it weighs so little), but it's not unbreakable by any means. The booms seem to be the weakest link (even though they're metal and you'd think they wouldn't be), so I would keep a couple of each as spares. My main board just went to hell after a relatively mild crash, but sometimes that's the way it goes with these things....a crash that looks like it shouldn't have broken anything does the most damage, while a crash that looks like it should've totaled it does no damage...

Have you looked into the Blade Nano QX?

Iceman - great suggestion. As you might recall I asked for a comparison of the two (2) on the NQX thread to which you responded. I purchased it soon thereafter. You were right - not exactly a night and day difference but the Blade was a great purchase. For me, the Blade is easier to control in confined environments and is much more apt to maintain altitude without constant correction. The best part is the far more convenient charging option with my Celectra 4 port I use for UM airplanes.
