Sucks to be me!

I had a pretty bad inverted crash today and I hit the Jazz on my Swift. It appears to have kinda smashed the 2 capacitors that stick out the end of the shrink wrap and the ferrite ring thingie. I guess I need to send it into Kontronic to have it fixed or is there somewhere else? I live in Missouri.

On the side of the frame. Didn't help that I was flying over concrete!

Wondering what my next move will be? Buy another till this gets fixed or wait?

Fix it! If you peel the heatshrink back, you'll see if anything else is broken. If not, should be simple to replace those two capacitors. Radio Shack ought to have them, if not Digi-Key is a great mail order place to get them, and you can use a credit card. It will say right on the caps what value they are, and voltage. Simple soldering job. Not to mention, if you don't want to do it yourself, you can probably find someone to do it for free or cheap, it's really very simple.

I had been thinking about that, actually woke up thinking about it and decided to look online for the capacitors. It's amazing how much I think about this hobby, I think heroin would be easier to kick than this addictive hobby!

Thanks for the tip!

If there is no ohter damage, replacing that two caps should fix it . I had an incident where a surface mount cap and another component were peel off from the PCB board of the Castle Creation HV45. Replaced it and it worked well.

I agree about this hobby, can't resist it
