I have some Turnigy Nanotechs on the way now for my Mini E-Revo VXL and I use their batteries for my planes. They work fine and in a comparison done by squid RC, the turnigy and Gens ace were equal.

no i didn't. I just got into flying planes last spring, and I am learning 3d now on a Super-Slo
http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showt...ight=super+slo
I've got in a couple flights on it, but it didn't go so well because it was a bit windy.

My first plane was a Trainer One and after I master the Super-slo, I am going to move on to the Big Nasty

I'm currently looking at a Duratrax Evader Brushless as a replacement (about $300 by the time you add a battery pack). Is this a good choice and would the OP want to consider it?
Does anyone know anything about this? Or any other truggy suggestions? I think I would mostly run a car on grass in my yard but I might sometime try to make a small track.

Hobbypartz just got a bunch of batteries back in stock, you could save on shipping by getting the charger and battery from the same place.

My Vendetta has been a good car. I don't "bash" it as much as some others might, but it has run well on blacktop (older surface with some bumps), dirt, and gravel with no broken parts to date. It's too small for running on the grass, but my research into the Evader shows it has more ground clearance and is 1:10 scale, as opposed to 1:18 for the Vendetta.

Videos on the Duratrax website show it in action.

I think, for the money, that is the direction I'm going to go.

For the OP, here's a sample review: http://www.rccaraction.com/blog/2012...der-brushless/

For what usage? It doesn't have nearly as much ground clearance as a monster truck (if set up, it'll probably have about 25-30mm of clearance), and won't be as durable as a traxxas truck in bad crashes.

That said, on a track it'll run circles around a rustler, even with less power. It's still a very competitive stadium truck in the right hands.

How to save money by ordering online

If you don't mind ordering online, there's a really easy way to save money. If you order from Tower Hobbies, you can save up to $50. They stock all the traxxas cars and they also have the RC10 T4.1.

To save money, you have to:
1. join the Tower Hobbies Super saver club (this costs $10, but waives the shipping cost of anything over $150 and allows you to use the super saver codes. It also makes you eligible for many other discounts.) You can join here

2. Visit this website to find the codes for may. They aren't up yet, but they will be up soon. For the RC10 T4.1 you would save $35 because it is a $249.99 truck. You would save $60 off your bandit. Here are april's codes, just to give you an idea of what the savings are like.
$100.00 - $124.99 $15.00 011M1
$125.00 - $149.99 $20.00 011M2
$150.00 - $199.99 $25.00 011M3
$200.00 - $224.99 $30.00 011M4
$225.00 - $249.99 $35.00 011M5
$250.00 - $299.99 $40.00 011M6
$300.00 or more $50.00 011M7

3. In the checkout, there will be a place for adding codes. Place the correct code in that space.

4. Wait until your order arrives, which won't take long.

^Cool. I guess that rc10t4.1 is more of a stadium truck. Do you think the Evader Brushless would not be very good on grass? And how is the Traxxas Stampede?

The Evader should be OK. The videos on the Duratrax website show it doing doughnuts in some thick stuff.
