Looks quality to me! I will keep my eyes on your build and might have to snag one myself if the build isn't a bear.

Honestly...u know I don't have giant amounts of experience. Compared to the LM P38, this is a snap together toy!

Conservatively, I don't see why I can't be doing motor tests in 2 weeks. Everything is ordered and due to arrive Tues/Wed. The plane actually took only TWO days!
Got a 120a HV CC ESC from MRC...which is WAY overkill but if I ever decide to run 12s, I am set.
I have a Biela 17x10x3 from the FMS Corsair, I also have a few 18" 2 blade props.
Extra servos left over from the LM build will be my flap servos, and I had the elevator servos already-brand new.

So I hope and pray this will be quick and easy. I expect to do 1/2 of the hinging tonight. If I can do this, just about anyone can

Have you encountered any of the issues mentioned way back in this forum related to the nose gear bracket failing, wing having glue issues and the doors falling off?
What mods have you done?

I am expecting my plane today and cannot WAIT to get going!
I'll try to find that prop. My 16x12x3 is within the limits of the P160 but it looks like it will reduce the flight time a bit. I'm looking for about 80+ mph at full throttle which I only use for passing by, and would LOVE a 6:30 flight time
I have not had any of these issues arise with mine. I don't have any mods done on mine it is put together by the book.

Great progress over last 2 days.
Dropped epoxy into wings where needed to fill gaps. Added CA where needed also.
Checked fit and finish of entire ARF. It is impeccable. Will fill gap in firewall, inside cockpit.

Put all hinges in and mounted flaps. BOY are they cool!
Mounting servos and linkages hopefully tomorrow and Tuesday.

Total build time now is about 4-5 hours. Guessing about 20-30% done.

This is really something!

Maiden, 2 weeks maybe...

Does anyone have full throttle speed data for this plane? Just rough ideas on ground speed? 85 or over?
Just curious. Not looking for a rocket but that helps me develop a "picture" in my head of what to expect.
Thanks!

There seem to be crickets in this forum...

How have people dealt with passing the ESC wires through the firewall? I would prefer to not cut a giant hole in the top of the firewall for anEC5 connector to pass through.
The manual shows the wire passing through 2 holes, but it implies you would need to solder the ec5 adapter on, while INSIDE the cockpit?

Has anyone just created a 10 guauge extension from the ESCs to the battery area?

I'm about 4 days away from the maiden.
Not a single big issue with the build. It has been fantastic!

Does anyone have a recommended # formthe CG? i tend to set my CGs forward of neutral for maiden flights.
Alexander, you made some comments that when you did your maiden, it was nose heavy and you had to force it off the ground.
Do you know what your final cg is?

Greg? Any thoughts?
Thanks!

Hi,

actually I did not measure the CG. I moved the Lipos as far back as I could. I still need some up elevator but she behaves nicely. What I recall is that I am within the limits. I might check it a second time and may move it still a little backwards.

But we are talking of details here. If you stay within the given limits you are definitely safe.

Cheers Alexander

You bet Aros.
And this build was insanely easy! The plane is really something else!!
Took my time with it sort of and 2 weeks from delivery to almost maiden ready.
Motor and taxi tests tomorrow.
