Rich If you look at # 70 ..you will see how I went about covering this model.... I also applied the decals at this stage ..as I thought it could be a problem post construction...and yes ,the U/C was fun.
I could imagine that it would be difficult getting a covering iron into the sharp corners .

Great minds think alike Chris

Steve,

I bet it would be tricky even with the mini iron.

I found that I did have to make a small mod to the stab /under fins .The wood was a good light selection ...but I only had to touch the fins to knock them off as there is not a great deal of contact area, even after adding extra try stock. I understand that the answer is not to knock them....but they are pretty low....so I went with a couple of glass rods .I should think that steak skewers would also work OK.

Thanks Chris,

Might just borrow your idea, I have the fuselage pieces all sheeted and sanded in readiness for some covering. In fitting with me sheeting the sides I also in-filled the lower part of the mast flush with the two ply cheeks tapering off to the fuselage side.
Have started on the head made up of ply and balsa laminations.

Chris,

Looks like it flies on rails

What was the reason for emitting the AB blades supplied in the kit?

I have made a start on covering mine now I have got the festive 'bug' out of the system

Magic fingers...that's me Bro
Rich ..... I found that it just did not hace enough lift on the 18" blades and I think with the added weight on the rear of the fuz that there is a "possibility" that a larger motor "may" be required on your model. I used a larger set that I got from Mike Smith. I hope the video shows it to be a very stable model.
