In light of recent events I made a project today:

Description:

Gas engine Starter. (EVA foam, PVC pipe, sharpie & clear enamel)

My hands are my livelihood so I will be using this from now on. I await the speedy recovery of our comrades and their return to the flying. If anyone else wants one, just let me know. I think I could do them in red, white and blue...

(Note: It's not called a "chicken stick". Thats a childish name for a piece of safety equipment. Plus it clearly says "Starter" on the handle. )

---

@Joe, I also had a really creepy experience out at Cascade. I'm not about that life.

Very nice, simple, effective, much safer.
In fact if the plane lunged at you it would be almost instinct to jam the starter stick at it to stop the prop, so it's a starter & a stopper.

If you queued up a few I'll take one in black & I'll reimburse you for your time & materials, via cash or suds.

Dan, it was a pleasure flying with you again today. To have the entire field to ourselves for several hours was awesome! Relax, shoot the shite, fly, repeat.

Charles, thank you! What a great time and enjoyed your company . Thanks for the use of the reeds and block, mine isn't modified. I'll run it in the morning and let you know how it goes.
