Grat idea about Li-ion batteries

I have been looking though this forum and have not found this suggestion:
WHY dont you used new/old nokia mobile phone batteries?

a 3.6V 950mah (I think) li-ion battery for AUD$16 about 11USD

For what? a micro heli? Those battaries can't draw the currents we need.

This is how we get everything we use. Trickle down from other sources, like cell phones.

You still get what you pay for.

Moving to batteries.

The first tests I made on Lithium batteries were done using Nokia cells back in 1996 ! See " http://jmquetin.free.fr/tipse.htm#bat lit e " for details.
However, not much Amps at that time !

I am still using the phone charger for my Li-Po. Very nice as it charges and balances 2 cells in serie at once.

Dunc, I stuffed up my wording.
I originaly posted in the micro heli forum. it then got moved I mean to say I didnt realise there was a battery forum cos i am new.

Anyway
