Does anyone fly IL2 1946 flight sim?

Hey there,
I am putting the rc planes in the shed for winter time, so my pc flying does increase.
I took my Il2 1946 out of the box again and am wondering if there are any others here flying IL2? Would maybe be fun to meet up online and fly together and have dogfights or do missions together.

I have it and fly it occasionally, I haven't gotten it online yet though.

Maybe not in the Chit Chat thread but you'll find plenty of them in the Simulators forum.

Meh, no thanks. The BF games are good fun. But they are just not the same as a flight sim.

And as a PC gamer... no way i'd get a X-box :P

BF1942 is awesome for what it is, especially with some of the realism mods. But it certainly is no sim by any stretch of the mind. I'd also never play any of the battlefield games on XBOX... sorry, but those games just DEMAND 32 vs. 32, especially on the larger maps. Playing 32 vs 32 Titan maps in BF2142 on a good team was some of the most fun I ever had in a multiplayer game.

As for IL-2, yup, still play it occasionally. I want to get Cliffs of Dover but I think I'll wait for them to wrench the hanger full of bugs out of it first. IL-2 is pretty wicked... years later it's still the best combat flight sim out there.

True. IL-2 has evolved allot. CloD looks absolutely amazing. Some of the screens look so real you have to look twice just to see it is a game.
IL-2 1946 still has over 300-400 people playing in the weekends. Quite amazing.
Last weekend we had 65 players on the server i like to play on. It's really cool with that many players. Even though it makes my job as a ground attacker allot harder.
