Hi all , I see this Video today :

Cyclops NOVA OSD with RTH Function RCTESTFLIGHT Review (8 min 15 sec)

Now in the Video you see the RTH function works fine with RC Plane. Can we use this for ouer Multicopters ? I thinkso.
In Manual there is to connect the NICK and Roll and an output to Nicj and Roll to the Servos of Plane. Why not connect to the Multicopter FC ? When Fly by Hand all is Loopthrough directly to FC. When switch tor RTH , the Speed and High is Manual over Throttle by Pilot and Direktion per Nick and Roll by NOVA.
So , it cant fly a Curve , because can not mix NICK -ROLL - Gier. But when Input to Nova Aileron used for Gier and Aileron output goes to Gier at Multic FC ? Then the Nova Turns the Multicopter to Home Point and Elevator ( Nick ) makes the forward Flight. All when the Pilot give Speed by Throttle ??
What do you think ?

Multis don't.

It's German for pitch/roll/yaw angles.

I have a Nova set up in a plane and I'm not sure how well it would work in a multi.
But for just 150 dollars it's worth experimenting with. I just wouldn't do it with a quad I'm fond of.
It just works with pitch and roll. It does not have yaw. I think if you hooked it up to yaw, it would confuse the IR sensor.

Today, I sent the same question to FoxTech. No reply yet.

While the plane (or multicopter) is "returning to home", can we add Rudder input with the rudder stick on the radio...to help it turn around and face home?

Or maybe after we activate RTH...the multicopter will just fly itself backwards all the way home?

This is not possible to do without compass, GPS heading alone is not enough. It works in planes because they always go forward, thus you have a proper heading vector from GPS. You can't get a heading vector from a multi without a compass.

I mean...
how can I point the antenna to the plane?

the Remzibis does have the Azimuth that shows in angle (º) where the plane is.

It gives you the planes current heading and it also shows you the direction to home from the plane (via a line drawn from a central point)..

i have one of these in my finwing penguin and it is not suitable for multirotors as above mentioned you need a compass to tell which way a multi rotor is facing i would suggest the dji naza system it can be setup for waypoints and rth with multirotors quite a bit more buck but worth all of it imo

Hello ! i really appreciate any info about my issue.! i have a pixim camera and cyclops nova osd. but the osd information doenst fit my googles/monitor. i mean all the important information at the bottom is lost. i thought it was the camera but i found a video from a guy who has the same pixim camera with cyclops nova osd and it works just perfect here is the video

I'm looking at this system and have a question. Being a noob to FPV I trying to figure out how this system works the throttle for RTH?

I still learning as well, but from what I can tell, most people have receivers that you set your throttle failsafe. It will then take care of the throttle where you set it, say 60% and you get back your control once your radio link regain a signal. My orange full range has this as well as the rmilec UHF module so it's just something else you may have to look into if gliding isn't your planes best feature, lol
