Car data recorder and gps V4

Hi

I have a car date recorder and a GPS V4 and the GPS doesn't works

All look good in data recorder software my version is 10.08, recorder firmware 5.71

I can look to all data of other sensor (rpm, t°, throttle, steering, rx volts) but nothing from gps.

When I power on the light of the GPS flash 2 time and stop.

Hi, if the GPS is flashing and then stops flashing, that could mean that it is getting a GPS fix (the LED stops flashing once a fix is attained). But, it may also mean that the GPS is shutting off for some reason.

Could you post a photo showing how you have things connected? Also, if you run PC live mode with USB, does the information in the lower lefthand corner of the PC software, say that a GPS is detected?

Matthieu,

"If you wish to log GPS data, choose “Hardware, Choose Parameters to Log in the Recorder” in the app, and select “GPS Parameters”. This
indicates to the recorder that GPS data should be recorded. Note that you DO NOT need to record GPS data to see it live on the Seagull
Dashboard."

Hi, and sorry your problem continues. Can you confirm that if you log data for a while, and then download the data, and click "play" in the software, what message appears in the lower lefthand corner of the software?

Note that the recorder will not log data if USB is connected.

Hi Bill

I hope I have find the problem.
After some test that look like to work with a rx pack 5V when I use a 6V pack that doesn't work.
I will do some test tomorrow and say you if it's the problem or not.

Thanks for you help

Hi Matt,

That is probably the issue. Is the voltage exactly 6V, or considerably over 6V? Sorry for the trouble.

Hi Bill

When the rx pack is full it's about 7V and that doesn't work.
With a lower tension that look like good.

Hi, that's definitely the problem. The lower voltage should completely eliminate it.
