I can't speak highly enough of the Arowana. Had mine a few years now & it is still going strong. The gel coat has some hairline cracks but that's the result of quite a few big 45mph tumbles.
I usually run an 8Xl motor in it but I'm trying one of these in it now. http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbycity/s..._Inrunner.html |

typhoon did a nice job powering this cat!! motor would have been fairly hot though with the 645 prop? that cat looks like a similar size if not a little smaller than the arowana |

Mike.
So You can get 6 minutes with the Typhoon in the Arowana with the K45 prop? Man that's good going. Don't think you will be able to with the 8Xl even with a smaller prop. although I've never tried it. Here's the link to it at Hi Model. http://www.himodel.com/electric/2075...0_3674-8T.html I run 15 degrees on the Typhoon & the Xl type motors. Pete's Drifter S is 26" I think, but the X645 prop certainly put a lot of heat into the motor. Found an M445 to be a better prop. |
