Knuffel build thread

Hello everyone,
I did not see a knuffel build thread so I thought I would start one.

It will be built entirely of 3mm depron and have 3 hs-50 servos, GWS reciever, P-10, and a custom motor that Azfai is currently building (I hope!)

Ok here we go,

Fisrt cut out all the parts...

Ryan,

Is that Kevlar bracing a new feature? Manuel's site shows carbon fiber to the wings.

Just wondering...

Hey Wayne and Jon, should have known I'd find you guys here. Ever since watching those videos of Manuel I knew I had to build one of these. Just got my shipment of 3mm Depron and carbon components and ready to get started. Where can I get one of those CD Rom motors, built? Seems like tons of power on this thing! What are you going to use in yours Jon?

Yes the kevlar is a modification. It makes the plane incredible stiff and there is no tristock or carbon anywhere other then the LE and TE.

EXTREME FLIGHT-PM Azfai (thats his user name) to get a really nice motor built. He has light weight motors and they come with a custom machined can and motor mount. Check them out.

Hey Chris - Awesome! I'm using the one from aircraft world - http://aircraft-world.com/shopexd.asp?id=1994 All you have to do is take the ring magnet out and put the other ones in. I put it on a shockflyer and got to 5.5 oz with battery. I hvae a feeling it should work really well on a knuffel. - We'll see. The power was good but not as much as with the axi. I think the knuffel will be the perfect size and wieght for it . I think they come in at 25 grams with mount.
