130X successor?

Looks like HH did a huge price drop on the 130X to $149. As I recall, it was about only a month ago it went to $199. Now, online sellers are selling for less than $130.

The 130X is likely loosing out to the walkera v120, or trex 150, or custom builds. Or could be they are getting rid of stock before a new similar size heli release - perhaps a "true" 150 size heli that everyone was hoping for in the trex 150?

i have no word if this is going to be disc. or what. 130X has tail issues. They have upgrades but total set of metal gears is $31.00+. Some mix and match plus other mods. I have two v120D02s's and no tail problems stock. Plus there is cheap slipper cluch available for $15.00, or make one yourself from $5.00+ part, or mod stock part. Anyway This was reason I got V120's and no regrets as fine flyer as is.
I was tempted but don't need another small heli. I did get Archer bnf plane. nice bird 2 cell for flying with my 250's/ and 450's at park. !!

The 130x was probably never as popular as HH expected. About 9 months ago, a LHS owner was telling me that initially he was selling tens of them in a week, but then suddenly he couldn't sell one in weeks - and he does online orders too.

Even though, I did get the 130x - and like the walkera v120d02s, mini cp, etc., I would up with two or more . But the 130x, I modded them with the v120 tail with slipper clutch . And of course, recently, I did a custom 130x with the gy280 with v120d02s rotary servos on a modified 130x microheli cf/al frame

I would be excited to see if HH is coming out with a 150X to see what they are offering.

Heli market is in decline and has been for over a year. I wanted a 130X but more I read seemed to have issues. I read info on V120 and many liked it. I bought one and loved it. bought a second and its better than the first. I'm sue 130 x is a fine heli but I dislike linear servos and had rash of trouble with a few Mcp-x's servo and board problems. Not crashing flat out failures.
Blade can make a good heli and possible a 150X refined woukld be dandy. Use rotary servos. Work out issues with TT. If they disc. 130X this would only leave Nano CP-X/ and Mcp-X bl for micro c/p's. 300CF-X
Walkera has Super c/p/ Mini c/p/ Genius c/p V2/ V120D02s/ Master c/p.
I think V200D03 is now disc, but still avilable.

I'm sure the price drop will propagate world-wide. I just notice the drop to $149 a coupl'a days ago.

Some time ago, there were some chatter in the forums about a potential 180X or 200CPX, but only the fixed pitch 200 SR X came out, and I believe Blade reps never confirmed those rumors. Perhaps those rumors are not just rumors and Blade is in fact working on something larger than the 130x to replace it. And I doubt Blade would make any announcements even if true until they've reduced their 130x stock enough - that's just business 101.

I hope your right. 180X sounds good. What they learned from 130X will improve a possible replacement. Come on HH lets have a fine new bird. They messed up with 200 SR-X. Or they could make a c/p version for heli flyers.

Yep thats the new official price on HH. I think its even illegal to sell it for the old price which is a lot extra now yet you can still buy it at app $220 at any UK store but not less, which is pretty lame considering its been a few days and they must know the new price, but keep it the same.. Its pretty obvious that I want one.

Some US retailers are still listing the 130x for $249... I guess they hadn't gotten the memo yet.

But still no more hint yet on what Blade is doing next for a 130x successor. Perhaps they're testing and working hard at a good follow on. I think they'll have to if they are going to release a 180-200 size heli's. Nine Eagle Solo Pro 180 had been out for some time, and Walkera V200D03 had been out for a while too. So there's already existing competition in that size. And there's always the trex 250 to compete with for hardcore 3d.

Yep, a 250 size CP would be cool from Blade

Seems like a 250 Blade would be carnivorous to the 300cfx market.

No way are they going to make a 250,. they had 300X, guys complained about frame flex/ then made 300 CF-X. Market for helis is way down hill. Quads/ clones plus helis peaked over a year ago.
What they could do is improve 130X with a streched version to 150 and beef up tail section/ better motor etc. Big gain beside tail would be dump linear servos.

The 130X did sell well but was probably not that profitable for HH. This is especially having to deal with so many service requests from customers. Labor costs are expensive even if replacement parts do not cost much.

If there is replacement, it is bound to cost much more than before. But the market must be getting smalll for a $300 plus micro.

Maybe a true 150 size with factory cf frame and some more high tech bling, like metal gear cyclic servos and beastx fbl unit shrunk to fit 150 size frame (this would also start a trend), and and and of course, 3s 7000kv motor, this heli would make its own niche overnight and would sell better than vodka sells in Russia.

As things stand, its the end of the road for mcpx bl and 130x, once the hisky 100s and 130s comes out.
There wont be a 250, they are smart enough not to go against the trex, plus they have the 300cfx.

as they have launched the 200 srx which as got a lot of people from coaxis into helos (fp) the next step would be a 200 (cp) with safe tec , all the faults will have been worked out and tooling cost to mod the frame to take a belt/tube tail are minimal ,that's what I would do
