Thanks LT.

The launcher is a simple U shaped wood construction. Inside the U there is an aditional board like a see-saw. You step on it on the back and it lifts at the front releasing the bungee ring. The pin which holds the bungee ring is fixed to the lower frame board. From the ring there goes a short piece of 1/16" steel cable to the hook underneath the plane.

The design is not mine, I saw it in the August '99 Sailplane&Electric Modeler Magazine.

Thanks for the info Been looking at building a launcher, I bought the bungee cord last year just haven't got around to building one, I like this compared to the PVC framed ones, might have to make a run to the lumber yard.

Thanks Pencon. I still want to paint something to give the ilusion of the thrust reverser opening, but I guess that will not happen because I'm already in the middle of a new project.
I'm building a retro '69 Cirrus glider. But to keep it in the EDF league she will carry an EDF on her shoulders.

@Lt: I found the instructions for the launcher and attached it. May help you on your run to the lumber yard.

Ops, upload failed because the file is 5.6MB and only 3MB are allowed. If interested send me your email per PM and I send it.

Whoever posted the tips about using cardboard for formers, and 3M 77 for keeping them in place; I owe you guys a cold one.
Made the first cut on my 70mm J-37 today, without problems, and a far better result than I expected.

Will do. (If I can tear myself from the build long enough to find a camera.)
Yep, using D. Windeståls modified plans from FliteTest.
