Or for a fraction of the uhf's cost a frsky system.
3.500mr range and 1.700mr altitude with stock 60mw frsky.
No booster and no fancy directional antennas.

Thats crazy. At first I was thinking about how he could possibly have video then realized there was no FPV, it was all way points. Ballsy waypoint flying around the tower... yikes!

Rangelink works with spektrum..

Indeed it does. No system is perfect, but there are reasons why many pilots won't trust their planes with Spektrum. Countless threads discuss these issues, and a few popular guys doing reviews have opened them up, tested, and frowned on their performance.
Of course there are many who are loyal to the brand and dispute these claims.
No way to actually know until you try one.

Futaba for me.

Which prop are you using and what kind of amps are you drawing?

Thanks

8x6e APC. Amp draw on 4s is 32-35a wide open, cruising between 8-12a.

Here you can see the typical amp draw on an average flight using this setup (4s, Power10, 8x6e APC). Bottom middle number is current amp draw. Notice the cruising draw when I dip into the pits.

Thanks SimpsonJ.

Made a few changes. Now she needs a seatbelt to ride in the passenger seat.
