Northern Indiana is Amish country. One of my favorite restaurants in the whole world is in Middlebury. It's called Das Duchman Essenhouse. To the east is Shipshewana which is the main Amish tourist town.

Up the road from Muncie is Auburn, Indiana. Ever heard of the Auburn Speedster?
There in Auburn is the Auburn, Cord, Duesenberg museum. It's one of the coolest car museums in the country. google ACD museum.

I know, that stuff is north of Muncie and not right on the way but that's about all I can think of down that way.

By taking the northern route there is Cedar Point in Sandusky, OH and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland.

+1, Did that museum when I went to the NATS and later for the Bruce and never got enough.

One of the best aircraft museums there is IMHO.

Unfortunately they closed the development and research hangar due to sequestration, it featured the XB 70, most x-series aircraft and some other jewels.

Gavin - Where are you going to set up?? I have been thinking of setting up right at the contest site, which I belileve, is the southernmost field where the heli gig is every year, & where we have been the last couple of years (Except for the 2011 when they moved us on the last day). Will be trying to RV also. Bob Olson
