HAha tail. Put new ds415s on last night. Used ds410 sale! I think the 415s have more play but they are brand new. Huh.

O, i don't know what the "best" is. But i like my Savox 0257 servos just fine, and they are older models. I haven't felt the need for better on my 450s tail. But, there is a whole lot to pick from these days. I'm sure any of the RJX HV micro or mini servos would work great. The BKservos are pretty close to the RJX ones too.People have good things to say about MKS tail servos, of course. Plenty of people like Hitec and there is always Futaba too. There is just so many good servos to pick from now i don't know what the "best" is. They are all pretty damn good these days.

The best for a 450 and smaller is the mks ds95i if your gyro supports 760 pulse width. I did not believe in spending $90 for a tail servo until I tried it.

My helis in action

Recently I bought a T-Rex 450 Pro v2 3GX.
The V450D01 is much more easier to fly with it. I think because the 6 axis gyro, but T-Rex is much more precise heli.
With my T-Rex I need to start over again to fly.

Don't forget about "KDS" but they are more money than Futaba's

I don't know about the stock boom length. But with my stretch boom and 364mm main blades. I am using Tarot 68mm tail blades. The only reason i am doing that is because of the longer boom and blades. The tail doesn't hold as well as with 335mm main blades. So the longer tail blades help, but, IMO, wider tail blades would be better than longer. But good luck finding any.

Yeah, that isn't true at all. KDS servos are pretty cheap at only about $27 each.

But a single Futaba cyclic servo for a 450 costs about $45 each. But even that is still better than MKS's prices for 4 year old DS95 or DS95i models. I trust Futaba quality much more than MKS, who started as a Hobbyking exclusive brand but now sell their micro servos for as much as i pay for my full size HV servos in my X7.

I am running 325mm CF main blades with 61mm CF tail blades and they work great. Might be able to fit up to 63mm, but wouldn't go any longer than that due to chance of scraping the ground.

Thanks, I was measuring that earlier. The 68 would be very close to the ground

They are. I think my Tarot CF skids lean the heli forward and lift the tail some though. Still close.
