"Hate to say I told you so.." The Prequel

Quote:
Years from now, historians may regard the 2008 election of Barack Obama as an inscrutable and disturbing phenomenon, a baffling breed of mass hysteria akin perhaps to the witch craze of the Middle Ages. How, they will wonder, did a man so devoid of professional accomplishment beguile so many into thinking he could manage the world's largest economy, direct the world's most powerful military, execute the world's most consequential job?
The short article does just as good a job of explaining how a 2nd rate politician could end up in the White House, as does the movie "2016", but in a different way.
The rest is at the link below, but the best paraphrased answer comes from Pogo: "... the enemy is us", the white Liberals of America who believe that "it is better to feel good, than to govern good" (paraphrased from Billy Crystal's "Fernando" bit).

Obama will long be remembered for his service to his country in a troubled time. The blather at the hate sites likely won't even be a footnote of the many books written about him. The best is yet to come.

I'm sure that's what they said about Carter.

As much as I despise Carter…I have a date to piss on this man grave when he goes.
Obama is a much larger failure and will be remembered as the great divider.

Nothing is more pathetic than a failed FDR.

The word hate has been used in 781 of you posts in LTUP.

I wonder if "hate" is one of the words encouraged by the DNC or the Democratic Underground to try and slant debates?

Don't kid yourself. The man has earned his place in the history books .But 100 years from now the sum total of his presidency will be reduced to little more than a footnote, like every other dead president before him that didn't have much if any real impact on the country as a whole.

Now if he manages to get us into WWIII.....

"His best"...... ended when he got elected.... .. He "fooled "many of us.

He just another twoface politician that wants "full blown socialism", never did get control of special interest, and this transparentcy crap he pushed was another Lie.....

Just because he has 2 decent ideas doesn't justify the 100's of bad ones....

I'm sure the history books will be a lot kinder to Carter and Obama then they will to the Bushes.

That will depend largely on who writes or updates them as time marches on.

As an aside ,I recently thumbed through my son's high school ,American history textbook and was genuinely shocked how much had been revised with a more liberal POV compared to what I had been taught 30 years ago.

So Bush's stance on communism is sufficient for you to erase all his shortfalls in one fell swoop Lyle ?

Well last time I checked I am certainly not liberal, and I have written proof from a college professor stating "that although he is not a scholar......".

So another excrement trailing post by you.
