Build Log
Kingfisher atr 72

Well,

its time to jump into the ocean, even though I can't swim. I will be constructing a 9ft long ATR 72 this winter. This is my first build log so bear with me. Thanks, Rob T

After completion of this model, I may be willing sell some kits to those interested once all testing has been completed. According to my calculations, it should be built on a 1/12th scale. Inside diameter of the fuselage should be roughly 2.57 meters across, or 8.5 inches wide.

Overall length
89 in
Overall height
30 in
Wing span
88 in

Ok, I finally finished the fuselage templates and decided to glue to the wall just to see how it would look.

Looks like a neat project.
For some reason the 3-view picture attachment isn't working for me. Anyone else?

Ok, after about 3 hrs of drafting, I finally got some templates drawn up on how this bird is going to look.

Since my eyes aren't 18 yrs old anymore, I started using a lit table for accuracy on my drawings. I even turn the lights out in the room. Gives me a greater sense of concentration.

Atr 72

With 270 views and only 10 replies (which 7 are mine) tells me one thing, nobody is interested in this build log so therefore effective immediately, this build log is hereby discontinued until further notice.

What is the point of sharing information if people don't give a rats? R/C building
has lost its fun and has now become more diplomatic like our government.

I allways liked the ATR 42 & wanted to do a panam commuter scheme, so your thread will give me some good ideas.
