Repost seeking input
I posted this on "Electric Sailplanes" and got no responses:
I really enjoyed my build of LEG's Prairie Dog (version 2). I would like to build a more traditional plane to get more experience flying. I have my eye on the One-D or the Crossover. The problem is there's no real wind or slopes in my area - I need a powered plane. I like EPP because it saves a lot of errors on field.
I'm interested in adding power to either the One-D (MH-32) or the Crossover. They seem like the right platforms because one could wing mount the aileron servos and have room in the fuse for a bigger battery and the motor.
Has anyone done such a project?
Can folks with a One-D or Crossover comment on feasibility of such a project?

I doubt anyone has done it. Not to say it cannot be done.
Most folks who want an electric foam sailplane are flying either...
... the 2.6 meter Multiplex Cularis
or the 2m EasyGlider Electric....
or the 1,5 meter Easy Star...
I recommend doing the same and fyi, bigger is always better!

If the Crossover or the One D suit your fancy for an e-conversion just run it by Jack Cooper. Maybe he'll chime in here.

My issue is that I'd like to get a taste of a high performance sailplane with the forgiveness of EPP. I thought the One-D or Crossover would encompass that. I need power to overcome the poor topography of my flying area.
With the servos in the wing, I thought I could fit the battery and the motor in the fuse. The way LEGs are designed, it seems like it would be difficult to fit the battery and motor in most other designs.
Are there any One-D or Crossovers folks that can opine?
