there was a thread on this a while back.

http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1104968

from my experience it seems that tires stick better to an anodized or powder coated surface than bare aluminum.

edit: i just looked through that thread and it's kinda useless because we just talked about beadlocks and inner tubes. although i remember seeing on another thread that some type of Loctite compound works great. but i can't remember which thread it is.

I prep tire and rim with denatured alcohol or at least 91% isopropyl and use Shoe Goo inside where the bead sits in the groove, then a fillet around the outside where the sidewall meets the rim. It's a two-night process to let it cure, but they hold for months before I have to re-do the fillet.

Don't forget the tyre has release agent on it to get the rubber out of the mould! I clean the whel rims and tyre beads themselves with lighter fluid, fit the tyre and insert then just run thin CA into the bead area and clamp down with a rubber band, never lost a tyre yet!
