my 4 day A-10 build.

Just realized I never posted anything about this build. I set out to build it in a weekend, but managed to fillet my finger which added another 2 days to the build. I used a pair of random unknown edfs that were given to me by a guy getting out of the hobby, and some HK $3 servos, a 2650 3cell and a pair of 20amp escs that came with the edfs.
The air frame is a simple fan fold build with a wooden dowel as a wing spar.
The crazy thin is how good it flys.
enjoy...

the maiden went great, flew well, was a little under powered for my taste, but had a friend fly it and he said it fly's scale.

She's had her fair share of hard landings and oops moments, in fact she's mostly hot glue now! but still flies true.

Infact the last flight I put on her yesterday I used a new higher C battery and she had way more spunk than normal. I might even say she doesn't feel under powered anymore.

Ouch! That is nasty.

Last time I cut my finger that deep it healed up completely (not even a scar of any kind). But now the nerves are messed up. The one spot is always super sensitive, like skin has been sanded down to the nothing. I have to be careful I don't press it on a pin head or anything.

Nice results on a quick build.

Ya I don't have a scar either. But it took months for the feeling to come back.

Just what I was looking for

I have been searching for an A-10 that was easy to build, light enough be be hand launched but big enough to be easy to see and handle some wind. I would really appreciate more information - wingspan, weight, length, etc. I know that you said the EDFs are unknown but could you give the diameter? Also have you measured the full power current using a Watt meter?

Thanks
John

I didn't make any plans or anything, but I'll measure it when I get off work today for you.

I maidened my second A-10 the other week. I need to find some weight to remove, and smooth everything out because she's real draggy right now.
