Help!
HK Electric Retract shorted wire from the factory, Rob HK CS NY pls help! - RESOLVED

Order# 20012550071 20/10/15
Turnigy Full Metal Servoless 90 Degree Retracts with 134mm Oleo Legs (2pcs) (US Warehouse)

I fit these retracts into a VQ VooDoo (see photo) In order to do this I had to alter the Oleo Legs slightly.
The signal wire in the left retract assembly was pinched between the side plate and frame assembly during manufacturing, causing it to short and fail. (see photo)
The RMA request instructions require that "The item has NOT been modified" for a warranty replacement. The alterations I made had nothing to do with the failure. Can we arrange a replacement swap for the left drive assembly? Possibly without the Oleo Legs. Can you help me?

Thank you,
Dale Cook

I'm sorry to hear about this... please fill out an RMA (don't worry about the mods) and I'll take care of it quickly.

Considering the THOUSANDS of orders that go out every day and the number of complaints received regarding QA ours is actually quite good. Though in truth it could of course be better and we're working on that.

I do, believe me. But consider all the reviews that are NOT posted when things go just fine. People go online to rant when things don't go well but very rarely post about positive experiences. Considering how many customers we have and how much volume we sell the number of complaints is actually quite low.

HK obviously listened to the complaints about poor CS and the result was the opening of a US based office that has been steadily improving CS/PS for 2 years now. QA is improving slowly as well.

Defective replacement Turnigy retracts

One replacement retract assembly inoperative upon receipt. Retracts were not installed. What do I do now? Hobby King should pay return postage for replacement of Turnigy retractable landing gear. No photos or video. Nothing to show. Unit does not function.

Thank you,
Dale Cook
