My install looks like the other HT installs shown in this thread, just rotated to the bottom. Spring is such that the string pulls the elevator toward the boom for pitching up.

Still need a pic?

The model is very easy to fly.. point it in a straight line and it just keeps tracking that direction, put it in a turn and it is almost hands-off to keep that turn. I don't see any bad characteristics that ask for turbulators.

Wait until I get to fly one. I am sure I can induce some bad characteristics

Building my Stream and looking at all the build pics am wondering how to fit the rudder fin. Do I cut the fin or the fuse or both?

You can mount the tail either way, slot the fuse or rudder, your choice really. Slotting the rudder is easier, Doug does and excellent job showing how below.

Stream maiden flight

At last I maiden my Stream after some issues, fly better than I spect so far, it's difficult to me splain in english but I thought the plane will be only a plane for really dead air and/or very light wind days, I have a Vortex2 too, but it's really a multipurpose one, very easy to fly, any bad actitude, very easy to launch, works very well in medium winds a little ballasted...........really very happy with the plane .

I took advantage of a nice spring day here in Michigan, sunny 42-degrees , winds 5-10 winds some higher gusts, and maidened my NIB Stream. RTF 240g (no ballast) CG @ 75mm. First impressions , launches smooth and high , penetrates good and camber is very effective. Very stable and no bad habits. I had a 30g ballast stick ready to go but didn't need it today. The Stream was very predictable
and did everything I asked of it. I am not sure how many guys are still flying these, but I'm really pleased.

Nice looking rig Jazz, I'd be interested in more reports the more you fly it.

Just wanted to give those interested an update. I have had a chance to practice in a variety of condition including a contest and so far it has exceeded expectations.
One of my best launching DLG's and at 240g and ample wing area works light lift as good as my Flitz. But with my 30g ballast travels very nice in high wind. I am not afraid to chase thermals far downwind. It is just a great all around ship and gives me a lot of confidence. It is an active flyer but I have found no bad habits or need to "trip" the tips as some have suggested. I might be flying alittle conservative at 75mm CG but it works for me. My buddy Mike has a new NXT (which is also very impressive!) and has let me fly it and I see a lot of similarities between the two.

Steve

With the kind of confidence you have with this plane, Steve I think it should easily be your #1. I'd get a pair of them and forget you own any other planes for awhile. That way, you won't be second guessing your hardware choice in a contest setting. You can just concentrate on the flying. That's my intention with the NXT.

I like both. The standard is amazing in the early morning pillowy air.. The NXT is great everywhere else..
