NTM PROPDRIVE 2836 1400kv need some numbers.

I have a propdrive 2836 1400kv that I have been feeding with a Hobbywing platinum pro 50a V3 on 3s 2200s.

My question is how big of a prop can I run? Can't find any calculators that have this motor in them.

I have been running an APC 8X6 E prop. On a 55deg f day I ran 2 packs at almost full time WOT and measured a motor temp of 103f and an esc temp of 70f. The battery measured 80f. These figures make me think that I'm not getting the most out of my motor.

Specs from HK.
Spec.
Model: NTM Prop Drive Series 2836 1400kv
Kv: 1400rpm/v
Poles: 6
Motor Wind: 10T
Max current: 45A
Max Power: 470W @ 11.1V (3S) / 560W @ 15V (4S)
Shaft: 4mm
Weight: 86g
ESC: 45~55A
Cell count: 3s~4s Lipoly
Bolt holes: 16mm & 19mm
Bolt thread: M3
Connection: 3.5mm Bullet-connector

Prop Test Data:
8x4 - 11.1V / 266W / 24A/ 1.02kg thrust
8x4 - 14.8V / 560W / 38A / 1.48kg thrust

What would be my amp draw on the following props?
1. APC 9X6 E
2. APC 8X6 E
3. APC 8X8 E
4. Master Airscrew 9X6

Thanks in advance.

Hi
You could estimate your performances when using Scorpion Calc (freeware)
http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=736782
Start with the HK2520-1360 and re-edit the Kv (custom motor)
For a 86 g motor, try the prop to get around 260W (ratio 3g/W)
Louis
SC is open to any motor but you have to input Kv, weight, Io no load, Rm(ohm)
Without Io or-and Rm you can try with "typical values" from the closest Scorpion
But an error on the Kv could lead to wrong performances.

i assume you don't have a wattmeter?

buy one and measure your amp draw.

This guy says 31 amps/1100 grams, with 8x6. I've been looking at that motor also. Sounds like probably the best bet if you want any run time.
