It was sunny and warm-ish this past Thursday at the Overlook, with a nice breeze out of the WSW and good thermal activity. I flew my Libelle and Buzz Evo in ideal conditions.
I got a chance to shoot with my new DSLR camera (DH4) using the helmet cam. It was nice not having to shoot so wide angle, no goldfish bowl effect, and having manual exposure controls. I need to add a targeting system so I can level up the horizon and track the glider better. now I just need some practice!
Here is a video showing off the 3X slo-mo ability:

Thanks for the comments...
The slo-mo is cool, especially with a up-close-and-personal acrobat like the Buzz Evo. It does give the aerobatics an other worldly look or like you are not obeying the laws of physics. I am not sure how much I will use it except for a change of pace look. There is a lot to learn... gotta get flying, shooting and editing!
Justin: Thanks again to you for designing and building such a wonderful glider! The major fuse torquing was due to a rip in the foam and laminate. The laminate adds a lot of stiffness to the frame; easy fix.
Matin: I shot at 96 fps. The GH4 can shoot at 2-96 fps... depending on what mode and file type you use.
Jimbo: here is a pic with the two 2.5 lb weights bolted on as a counter weight and the sighting bar taped on. I hope to try it out on Sunday.
