island wing beaver flap travel

Hi all,
Why is it that the first version of the flyzone beaver has a longer flap travel than the island wing beaver? I have the island wings beaver and the flaps don't go down very far. They serve their purpose, but it would be nice to have the same travel as the original beaver.
