TM Motor Mount Mods?

Do any of you have any mods that you have done to the motor mount on the tiger moth?
I think i am regretting using epoxy on mine already.

The only thing I did to mine was drill a hole in the mount so I could run a tiny screw through the mount into the wood to hold it.

I didn't modify the mount, but I used that thin double-sided sticky tape GWS provides to hold the plastic on the center of the bottom wing to hold the mount onto the stick.

That tape doesn't too well at holding the wing. It works great holding the motor.

On my first moth I ended up just wrapping the stick in packing tape after the motor became loose. That solved the problem too.

Motor Mount mod

E-Minn,
I made a small mod to my motor mount stick which has worked out great. I drilled a 1/16" hole all the way thru the mount/stick. I then used a piece of .060 cf rod and ca'd it into the wood. This makes the wood just about bullet proof. This can be done after the stick is glued into the fuse. I had to since I broke my stick off on a vertical landing.

E-minn, I drilled a hole horizontal thru the gearbox side and wooded mount then slid a T-pin thru it and cut the pin off about 1/4 of an inch long.
I use a dental rubber band, at least I'm getting something for my 100 dollar a month kids dental visit, to secure the pin in place.
As I need to oil the gearbox and motor I just slide the pin out and off comes the gearbox, sweet and simple!
Maybe part of the reason I'm still on my first motor after 4 or so months.
