Is that arf? Or a kit?

i am still not sure what comprises a kit and what is an arf so i will answer in detail. i put together a gws spitfire and it had brushed motor and gearbox. prop. did not include servos, ESC, Rx or batt. did include pushrods, clevises, decals. i assume this one should have the same at a minimum. does that help?

Yes arf or rfr usually means it just needs a receiver

Rochobby Waco from motion RC gets my vote. It's a little bigger its 40.6 inch wingspan. It fits in the trunk assembled of prety much any car.

How about a simple build yourself job ?

Over on Wattfllyer - a guy introduced this baby :

Depronker.

Simple and old-world but totally flyable inside and outside ... can be built with or without ailerons.

Did I say simple to build ? Powered by modest gear and LiPo ...

I have various Biplanes and others - and this little baby is definitely on my cards ...

Post #3488 shows pictures of it and the simple Depron parts to make it ..... simple but full of character !

A good first good biplane would be the GWS EPO Tiger Moth. It has like a 40" span and flies great on a 480 motor and 2200mah 3s packs.

My suggestion: Fokker D VII

The first one had about 1000 mm wing span and was powerde by a selfmade fourstroke engine with 2,1 ccm displacement.
The airfoil was the original one like 1918.

The second (which I built three times!) had 650 mm wing span and a selfmade brushless motor. Weight about 350 g.
This model also had the origianl airfoil.

The last one is somewhat smaller: 395 mm span / 116 g take off mass.
The powerplant also is a selfmade brushless.
This one I built with Clark Y. An airfoil that isn't really interested in Sir Reynolds oppinion about airspeed, chord length and the like
