Workshop floor

So what do es everybody else do? I mean, if your floor is like mine it sucks. You know everything on your work bench winds up on the floor. The only explanation is the floor sucks. It sucks everything off your bench onto the floor. I'm not just talking about the small screw or nut or even a screwdriver or ruler. I'm talking about engines and airplanes! The only explanation I have is the floor sucks big time! I've even found the top of my bench perfectly clean with everything on the floor. Now that doesn't happen very often, but it does happen..... I have several government agencies working on the problem. I've heard one of them outsourced the research to an "outside entity". Who knows what that means????? I supposed somebody will make a flying saucer out of it or something. Heck we've had frisbee's for years now and they don't need a sucking floor?????

Dang it, there goes another screw on the floor.

Upgrade!

Ken,
All workshop flooring will suck, but if yours only sucks you need to upgrade.
My little workroom has lovely speckled beige carpet with the new (or not so new) 'suck and hide' feature.
It can suck small items straight off the building board and hide them until they are no longer required.
For a small extra charge you can have it return them while you are looking for something else.
Cheers,
Pete

A model builder isn't a true builder until he actually looses models in the dust and shavings on the floor.

A buddy painted his floor and put that nice speckled finish on it. The first time he dropped a screw, he realized what a bad idea that was.

Its the moving black hole that gets me. I never see the parts again when they get sucked in.

That moving black hole can be a real pain, it has a great collection of screws. the worst thing is when you about to finish your build and put in the last screw in it ,happens you drop it. The black hole strikes again, and of coarse this the last one is one of a kind. The hobby shop is closed, that sucks

Maybe your wife comes along and sweeps it all onto the floor?

Nope! She's not allowed to clean anything in the garage. After the first time she did that, she didnt want to listen to me ever again about that subject.

My plywood floor is much better than the carpeting in a previous work shop for the subject at hand...

It is splinter free...and a few of us wear shoes in TN ! LOL !

And - if you build in bare feet - at no extra charge - splinters!
