yipee! new cheaper speed control 20 cells

Well, Im still looking for a reasonably priced 18-20 cell 50+ amp control . . . I hear jeti is coming out with one.

I called castle creations to see if they were planing on making one, and they are! 18 cells+, 50 and 70 amp models, probably due in 2 months. They are working on the circuits now. Here is the best part - 130$$$ (Patrick said this was a guesstimate though based on production costs).

Still, thats pretty cheap! (A schultze 55bo is 250+$)

ps - this is a brushless controller!

If it's not a brushless ESC, why not check out the AstroFlight's 207D ESC for Hydros? Does not have a BEC, but is good for 6-40 cells up to 75 amps for $120.00. I have one, has always worked great.

bpu6999,
Patrick (Castle Creations) says that he has a design that will handle 20 cells coming out in a couple months? I know that the phoenix models that he is releasing soon are limited to 16 cells so that would be great!

Thanks,
Brad

Why wait? Aveox has a high voltage version of their sensorless controller available. I believe that their version is good for 30 cells @50 amps. That should handle most of the EDF stuff out there. It is about the same foot print as the Kontronik 3SL 40 controller and it is made here in the USA.
