Help!
the dons rc 55 mm edf unit

i have one of the dons 55 mm edf units. ive puta http://www.modelmotors.cz/index.php?...2&kategorie=16 38oo kv in runner in it.its a 6 bladed fan. but wile it isnt getting hot(dose get a little warm)
im wondering if i will get more power or speed by cutting three of the blades out/i.e. is it worth doing?
this motor worked really well in an alfa mig 15 with a 3 blade rotor
it will be going in a foam baby cat

You will loose thrust but gain some rpm and eflux. Is it worth doing? depends on many factors. If your current motor is pulling to its max rpm than you wont get any more usable rpm and there for no real gain. Just less amps and thrust..Electric motors dont react to load like IC motors.
